Hi! My name is Shishir Agrawal; I also go by Sunny. I am a human being. I currently live on lands stewarded since time immemorial by the Kumeyaay people.

I’m employed as a postdoctoral mathematician at UC San Diego. My research interests include algebraic geometry and related fields, like arithmetic geometry or algebraic statistics.

Outside of math, things I like doing include doodling, reading, cooking, backpacking, studying language(s), and hanging out with my husband and my cat.
